The Global Golf Teaching Aid (GGTA) was designed by Dennis Henderson after extensive research through travelling to Pro tournaments within Australia, studying golf professionals at the practice range and on course play. Dennis was also privileged with caddying for a number of tour professionals when tournaments were held at his golf club in New South Wales. These tournaments included the Men’s NSW Open, the Australian ANZ Championship and Women’s PGA events.
The GGTA is designed for any individual irrespective of their build or flexibility. Your eyes will pick up vital information at address position which is a critical factor in executing a great golf shot.
The “hand action guide” is a very important component of the GGTA. It assists you to practice your golf swing without your club.It will allow you to see your hand position though the impact area and follow through. It allows you to see yourself whether you are on plain, hands travelling out away or across your target line: a critical factor in the golf swing. By observation, you will be able to make the necessary adjustments to improve your swing.
When practising over the hand action guide, use good tempo and do not force or swing fast. Allow your body to follow your arm and hand through their rotation.
Use your eyes to ensure:
· Your feet, hips and shoulders are aligned to the Target Alignment Bar
· Your club face is square to the back of the ball
The Foot Alignment Bar will allow you to check your ball position to your feet. By aligning your front foot with the Foot Alignment Bar, it will help you find your correct impact point for each club.
The Putter Alignment Bars will assist you in finding square club face contact and will greatly improve your putting stroke.
The GGTA will help all players from social and club players to professionals. This teaching aid is designed to help you as an individual and not to emulate other players’ styles. Spending a lot of money on a golf club will not improve your game if your address position is incorrect.
